Noch vor ein paar Jahren dürfte dieser Ort von Gletschereis bedeckt gewesen sein. Heute präsentiert sich dem Besucher ein interessantes Gletschervorfeld mit einem kleinen Gletschersee, Gletscherschliff und zahlreichen Feldbrocken, welche der Gletscher bis hierher getragen hat. Darüber die hochalpine Kulisse der Zermatter 4000er. Im linken Teil des Panos ist die Spitze des Matterhorns zu sehen. |
